While more and more rims are designed from the outset to be used with tubeless and tubeless-ready tyres, there are still a huge number only designed to take tubes. Rather investing in a new set of wheels, the Effetto Mariposa Caffelatex Tubeless Tape allows you to convert your regular inner-tube only wheels to tubeless-ready.
Starting with the Caffelatex Tubeless Tape, you can remove your current rim tape or cloth and install the tubeless tape. This is the first step in setting your wheels and tyres up tubeless. The tape helps to make the rim as air tight as possible when combined with the tyre sealant. The width of the tape varies, so you must select the right size for your rim. The “S” Kit suits rims with an external section of 20-24mm, “M” suits 25-29mm and “L” suits 30-34mm wide rims.
Once the strip and valves are installed you can install your tubeless or tubeless-ready tyres, add your sealant of choice, inflate the tyres and you’re good to go! You can finally kiss punctures goodbye.
