The SRAM X01 Eagle AXS derailleur carries over many of the features of the mechanical X01 derailleur, such as the useful Cage Lock and Type 3 Roller Bearing Clutch. Added to this are several all new technologies that help improve performance and durability.

Controlled by SRAM’s new AXS technology, the derailleur offers crisp, instantaneous shifting and a super-clean cable free design, taking mere seconds to install and sync with the AXS controller using the AXS app. Further improving shifting and durability is the Overload Clutch. This works to protect the rear derailleur in case of a direct strike to it from a trail-side obstacle or crash, protecting the derailleur and keeping it shifting smoothly. The pulley cage is also 10mm shorter for improved clearance, further reducing the risk of damage. The system is completely water and dust proof to IP67K, so the elements are shrugged off with ease. The battery (sold separately) is shared with other AXS and eTap components, so can be swapped if needed and lasts between 20-30 hours of riding between charges.
