Road cycling is possibly the most energy efficient, fast paced form of cycling there is. Their aerodynamic design and slender aesthetic allow you to split through the headwind and maintain the pace you’ve grafted to gain, while the combination of larger 700c wheels and slim, 120psi capable tyres minimise rolling resistance. The Basis Phantom Road Bike has been designed with these core characteristics in mind, forgetting the expensive and somewhat un-necessary bells & whistles to result in an affordable and we equipped bicycle.
Based around a lightweight yet robust Alloy road frame and tapered Steel fork, rolling on 700c Alloy wheels and 25c tyres to achieve that rigid, direct and confidence aspiring riding feel. Dallingridge have included an 14 speed Shimano gearing system with centre mounted SIS shifters, broadening the bikes, and indeed, rider’s capability should it come to a stubborn ascent or aggressive descent.
Braking is taken care of by a traditional, simplistic calliper system with authentic drop-bar levers.
It may not podium the Tour De France, but those daily commuters looking for pace and efficiency will really reap it’s benefits.
